This is the weeknote for the Open Revs & Bens project that covers the week 28 March – 1 April.
The technical workstream continues apace. This is the work that will see the Sedgemoor business rates module get up and running in different hosting environments (starting with Leeds and Azure) and migrate the data into it from the existing system (in Leeds’ case, Capita).
The other two workstreams, one looking into governance models for open sourcing the software, and the second reviewing the user experience of the system, will be starting in earnest over the next couple of weeks.
What we’ve done
- We have successfully hosted the sedgemoor system in Azure
- Continued the data mapping process to migrate the Leeds data into Sedgemoor
What we’ve learned
- We’ve identified Sedgemoor System configuration gaps
- We are growing our understanding of the Sedgemoor Business Rates data model
